So much for Foxconn’s $ 10 billion investment in Wisconcin creating 13000 jobs, much touted by Dotard and Scott Walker, as they symbolically dug shovels into the ground with Foxconn president Terry Gou, who was no doubt laughing at these dumbos.
Doesn’t that look like a pile of shxt on those shovels? Dotard called it the “eighth wonder of the world”, which it has turned out to be. You have to wonder what happened to it. Walker was willing to subsidize it with $ 3 billion, one hell of a lot for “just” 13000 jobs. As it happens, looks like it will be more like 1300 jobs, and could even be just 130.
And no blue collar jobs. They will employ mainly “researchers”. Probably good news for Indian PhDs in the US. There will be no factory. Those Trumpkins will have to wait. Ok, somebody also has to clear all that shxt that was dug up
Great deal, Dotard. So much winning. Just like those 6 new US Steel plants, that somehow nobody seems to be able to locate, since they only exist in Dotard’s big head.
Most sane people at the time knew that the Foxconn deal was just a Fox con. There was just no way you could make flat panel TV screens in the US at a cost to compete with China and others. Or maybe you could, if you brought in 13000 Chinese migrants and paid them Chinese wages and made them all sleep on the grounds of one of Dotard’s golf courses. They would also have to scale the Great Wall to get here, but that could be practice for scaling the other wall (also still only in someone’s big head) to get to Mexican beaches for holidays. Oh, sorry, Chinese workers don’t get holidays.
Its probably one of the reasons Scott got voted out. Hopefully Dotard will follow.
Just like the story with the Apple screw, there are certain types of manufacturing that are just not coming back. But Dotard still insists on investing and pushing the job of the 1950s, instead of looking forward to the jobs of the 2050s. In a way it matches the GOP agenda of going back to the 1950s on everything from minority rights, gay rights, voting rights and other issues.
