GOP Trumpcare

So Trump has forced the GOP to return to its pre-existing condition - wanting to deny health care to the poor. With his Justice dept overnight turning 180 degrees and supporting the lawsuit to destroy Obamacare, and Trump declaring that the GOP will be known as the party of great health care, he has put Turtle McConnell on the spot.

Having just got battered in an election mainly becaue of health care, the GOP would rather not touch this with a 10 foot pole. But they are afraid to criticize Dotard too. So McConnell  said he is waiting to see Trump’s plan. But as the Votemaster brilliantly put it, the next time that the Donald comes up with a plan that requires more than 280 characters to communicate will be the first time.

(There is also a bigger issue here of the Justice dept becoming just a political, biased body. But I suppose Americans are so used to the rule of law breaking down that that is hardly noticed.)

The reversal apparently happened after a heated debate where tea party madman Mick the Knife, now Dotard’s third Chief of Staff, convinced Dotard trying to kill Obamacare would be good for his base. Forget the country, just pamper your base. The fact that millions of the base would be negatively affected doesn’t matter - they are suckers anyway, and we could convince them its all Democrats’ fault.

So Dotard announced that the GOP would come up with a “terrific” health care plan, something he said in 2015 as well, but which like all Dotard’s terrific plans, we have yet to see. And after 9 years voting against Obamacare, and shouting repeal and replace from the housetops, the GOP had no replace plan when they could have done it. Why, you may ask? Because any plan to get people proper health insurance and cover pre-existing conditions would look a lot like Obamacare. And while Obamacare has its faults, improving it would look a lot like European socialism, and we cant have thaaat!!!!

Remember the GOP repeal plan that McCain killed? It was called skinny repeal. We never learned the details, but the name suggests that it would probably recommend that poor people remain skinny if they wanted to be healthy. And if they got sick, they could get really skinny health care. And that’s the best the GOP has been able to come up with so far.

So whoever thought this was a good idea, from Dotard to Mick to the other sycophants, had better get their heads examined—and quickly, while Obamacare still covers mental health.
