No holds Barred

Poor Barr, the man who has now set a low bar.
The Supreme Court is already contaminated.
Now the Attorney General, who is supposed to work for the people, has shown himself to be just another kisser of Trump’s you know what. Poor guy - he had a good reputation before his appointment. He is 68 years old. You would think he had no reason to be a sycophant.
But as many have pointed out, it is almost impossible to work in this administration without becoming a criminal. And Barr, like others before him, sold his soul.

(On a separate note, this week a black Somali policeman was found guilty for shooting a white woman while on duty. This after dozens of white policemen have been exonerated (like Trump) over the years for killing black people while on duty. Barr’s performance yesterday before the Senate was just another clear view into why the US justice system is broken).

The testimony yesterday was several hours long. But this 8 minute segment, where  Kamala Harris takes down Barr completely, is worth a watch.

Looking at the latest opinion polls (taken before the Austrian scandal), I sometimes wonder whether the rise of the far right is being hyped to something far bigger than it is. Here, from the FT, is the result based on current polls, with the groupings listed from far left to far right (my opinion), like in the earlier chart I sent. Sondland’s John Dean testimony
