IMPEACHED - Trump, not Jesus

So the Chosen One, Blessed be His Name, was impeached, a stain that he will carry to the grave and to hell with him. While yesterday was in a sense a historic day, as all commentators have pointed out, it was also completely boring as the result was known beforehand.

To me, the most significant item during the “debate” was the Talevangelicals in the GOP comparing Trump to Jesus. Not once, but twice. They may think this elevates Trump. But actually, all it does is denigrate Jesus. So their Jesus is a philandering pxssy-grabber who would also “move on her like a bxtch.” Their Jesus is somebody who would rob the poor to give to the rich. Their Jesus would have put children in cages. Their Jesus would have told immigrants to get lost. Their Jesus would have ranted and raved like a criminal caught in the act.

So much for all these hypocritical “Christians”.  Satan is no doubt licking his lips and waiting for them with open arms. Mike Pence, the lifelong talevangelical, standing behind Dotard like an Altar Boy. He would always avoid being alone with a woman who is not his wife, who he calls Mother (talk about an Oedipus Complex). But if Dotard insists on a nude dinner with Stormy, be sure Mike would salute and start unzipping his pants.

Jordan and Meadows and Gohmert and MoscowMitch and LeningradLindsey - none of them having the ba..., er, spine, to stand up to the CriminalInChief. Even the Russian Duma has occasionally shown more spine. But these sycophants competed instead for who could kiss Trump’s (insert body part) with the most devotion. How angelic it feels to kiss the Lord’s ......, they no doubt said.

Irrespective of what happens now, the blow to American justice and credibility will take a long time to heal. How can any GOPer criticize Putin or Kim or Xi or Modi or MbS, when they enable the same behavior from their Lord and Master. The GOP has been Trumpified, and there is a good chance America will be as well next November. Just another banana republic. And all that just for a tax cut and 150 racist and bigoted judges. While Trump will go down in History as a disgrace and a laughing stock, his enablers will not do much better. But maybe McConnel and Graham are happy with a grave in the Kremlin, that Putin would probably gladly provide for their services.

And on a broader note, after around 50 years where religion had to take a back seat, at least in some parts of the world, it is now back in force to continue the mayhem it created for 2000 years. Amazing that all those “devout” Christian and Muslim and Hindu and Jewish and even Buddhist rulers turn out in the end to be just power-hungry autocrats, ready to sell their grandmother to stay in power. 150 years on, Karl Marx’ statement still holds true - Religion is the opium of the masses. And every religion has managed to produce autocrats to take advantage of that.
