CRT and GQP History

So after railing for a year or more against the teaching of CRT in schools, to newborns and to fetuses, the GQP passed numerous laws in red states on the issue, although none of those laws or the GQPidiots passing them could define what CRT was. So GQPers in Virginia took it open them to define how racism is to be taught in schools, introducing with great fanfare las week a bill detailing what  can  be taught in schools. Within hours the bill got great praise in states like Texas and Florida, where lawmakers are already wondering whether to go beyond fetuses and ban CRT for men and women who are contemplating having a child. Under the motto - “Your semen should be CRT free. Else please be abstinent.” Well, that great moment lasted a couple of hours. Among the things listed that could be taught in schools were the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates - specified further in the legislation as the debates between Lincoln, you know, the greatest President, and Frederick Douglas, ...

Biden's Jan 6th speech

The day is the Epiphany, when Christians believe the 3 oriental Kings brought presents of gold, frankincense and myrrh for the baby. In Russia and the Eastern Orthodox world, its often the day they celebrate Christmas, though this year it was the 7th. And in the US, this year it was the day when Biden finally realized the old Republican Party he knew is dead, replaced by a racist, bigoted GQP that talks a lot about Jesus but actually kneels before its own Orange Idol, which Jesus would have chased out of the temple, ike he did the money lender's.. That was definitely Biden's best speech of his Presidency. Finally using the biggest bully pulpit in the country. He hit the bloated Orangeman where it hurts most - his EGO. He never used his name - he didn't have to. But his various references to his having lost - being a LOSER - were meant to go for the gut. Almost as though the speech was written by the Lincoln Project. "He can’t accept that he lost, even though that’s wha...

Trump Vision of Grift

If you like this, do read other pieces on my blog. Its free 😀 Quiz Time, people. What do Dotard, Melania, Junior and Eric think the blockchain is? A) A device to restrict a dog on a walk B) A valuable necklace with which to show off at a party C) That emergency thingee to pull to stop a train Whatever the right answer is, the Trumps have suddenly realized or been told that the blockchain can provide a new line of criminality for them. To remind you, they (Dotard, Junio, Eric and Ivanka) were just forced some time ago to close down their “children’s charity” which was shown to have nothing to do with children or charity (okay, except charity for Dotard’s children). They also had to commit to never running a charity again. But that still leaves Melania free to grift, and so with big fanfare, Melania Visions was announced yesterday. These will be sold as NFTs on the Solana blockchain (SOL) which is a bitcoin-style monkey business, only monkey-er. Melania Trump’s first NFT offering ...

Monkey Business

(If you like this, do read  other items on my blog. Its free 😀) Bitcoin may be Bigtime Monkey Business, but there is smaller MB around as well, although Dotard probably would be mad that I refer to his Greatest Social Media the Planet (GSMP) has ever seen as monkey business. To recall the story till now. Early Sept, DWAC, what is known as a SPAC or blank check company, went public in a $ 300 m offering, with its shares trading at $ 10, which is basically what all monkey business SPACs trade at till they actually have a non-monkey, or real business, which usually takes a year or two. But end Sept, just a month later, it surprisingly announced that it would merge with Trump Media (TMTG),which would be starting their GSMP soon. That sent DWAC shares from 10 to $ 94 in day (did you ever think crap was worth so much?) prompting me to write it would be good to short the shares. They were very thinly traded, but if you succeeded, congratulations. They now trade at $ 40. And are we...

Obituaries - Powell and Trump

If you like this, do read other items on my blog. Its free 😀 Will probably write more about Colin Powell if I get down to it. Its a subject that gives rise to a lot of what ifs and speculations. But another thought is more urgent to send out. Yes, except for the extreme right wing press and associated nutjobs, the papers had a lot of nice things to say about Powell, though all of them mentioned the worst part of his legacy - his speech before the UN making the case to attack Iraq. Even he realized it was a mistake, apologized for it many times, and knew it would unfortunately be part of his obituary and legacy. But of course, the praise for the Great Man Powell was too much for what my good friend Dave called the Supreme Axxhxxx Trump (He really hit the n. on the h. with that one). Showing his complete lack of grace or empathy or basic human feelings, His Most Supreme A sent out this statement: “Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called ...

Guns, Bibles and Mark Twain

Idaho is a small US red state. There are about 6 people who actually know where it is.  It had its fair share of idiots and covidiots including Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin, who when Gov. Little went out of state yesterday quickly issued an executive order banning “vaccine passports”. You know, the way the GQP keeps banning things that don’t exist - like CRT in schools and abortions after birth. In October 2020, McGeachin was in a conservative think tank’s video — a gun in one hand, a Bible in the other — and questioned the existence of the pandemic. Real Americans were going to beat the virus with their guns - just shoot the damn things - and their Bibles - God will not allow a virus in His House. We know how that has turned out. What we will soon find out is what happens when covid becomes essentially a red state plague. At the moment, 14 of the 15 states with the highest number of cases to date are red states, as are all 15 with the highest cases in the last month. Similarly...

Brexit and Levelling Up

With so much else going on, nobody in the rest of the world paid any attention to Little England's main political event of the year - the party conferences. You know Little England - that place that was left over after Brexit. Take away London, which voted overwhelmingly against Brexit, and you are left with Huckleberry Finn’s famous majority I mentioned yesterday. BoJo’s bojoes. Labour went first a week ago and it was a sorry affair. New leader Keith Starmer may not be quite as "crazy" as his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn, but he also lacks the oomph that made Corbyn so popular among the faithful. Starmer came across as boring, which probably is not going to help Labour's chances. Labour is going to do blah blah blah yada yada yada.....yawn yawn yawn. And then came the Tories - normally representing the moneyed classes, but now just like with Trump and the GQP, claiming to be for the working class common man. Enough of those wccm seem to be impressed with this for now,...
